Drive Change in Your Community

Every vehicle sold plays a direct role in supporting local families who are facing challenging times, helping them access essential resources and build a brighter future. By choosing one of our quality used vehicles, you’re not only getting reliable transportation at a fair price—you’re also contributing to meaningful change in your community.

Quality used vehicles that make a difference

Our inventory of cars, trucks, boats and RV's is more than just a car lot. Beyond providing dependable vehicles, we're committed to creating opportunities and offering assistance to families in need, making each sale more than just a transaction-it's an act of kindness that has lasting impact.

Proceeds from auto sales are allocated to direct support of the Timely House Family Shelter Project.

If you have a vehicle you no longer use, consider donating it. Your donation is tax deductible and can make a powerful difference. We make the process simple and hassle-free, handling the details so you can feel confident that your contribution is making a real difference in someone’s life.

Whether you’re buying or donating, you’re joining a mission that turns every vehicle into hope for local families.

Financial Assistance

Financial Assistance for Those in Need

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul provides vital financial assistance to individuals and families experiencing hunger, homelessness, or severe hardship. This support can help cover essential needs such as rent or utility payments to prevent eviction or loss of services, emergency food to address immediate hunger, and other urgent expenses that threaten a person’s stability and well-being.

By easing financial burdens, we aim to create a path toward stability and self-sufficiency, offering a safety net for those with nowhere else to turn. Each request for assistance is met with compassion and respect, ensuring that those we serve feel valued and supported during their most difficult times. Through this work, we not only meet urgent needs but also uphold the dignity and hope of our neighbors in crisis.

Timely House Family Shelter

Every Child Deserves a Safe Place to Sleep

Project Address

151 Pear Lane, Sutherlin, OR

Right now, Sutherlin St. Vincent de Paul operates Timely House, a 10-month family shelter program providing emergency housing to families with children who are experiencing homelessness or unsafe living conditions. Our pilot program, one small home, shelters one family. Many families in crisis are left waiting.

With your support, the proposed expansion at 151 Pear Lane will open the doors to up to 12 families at once, offering not only safe shelter but also structured services such as parenting classes, job skills training, substance abuse counseling, mental health counseling, and budgeting support. These resources will help families build stability, restore hope, and create a path toward a brighter future.

Together, we can turn waiting lists into welcome mats—and make sure every child has a safe place to sleep.

Families applying for the facility should have an income source, preferably employment. Families without an income source will have 30 days from time of acceptance into the facility to secure an income source.

Examples of which could include:

  • Employment
  • Social Security
  • Disability
  • TANF
  • Student grants/Loans

Income structure breakdown for guest families:

  • Month 1 - $100 refundable deposit
  • Months 2-4 - 60% of income into personal savings managed by Timely House staff
  • Months 5-10 - 5% income personal savings, 30% income into Timely House General fund

One hundred percent of personal savings are returned to the family upon exiting the program, regardless of the exit date. Timely House's general fund is used to ensure the continuance of its programs for the next family in need.

Structured Living

We believe that families who complete the full 10-month stay at Timely House will have invested the time needed to replace nonproductive habits with healthy, productive practices essential for long-term self-sufficiency. Our strict facility rules are designed to guide, support, and reinforce these positive changes—helping families leave prepared for a stable future.

Policy Snapshot:

  • Sober living environment
  • Maintain income
  • 10pm – 6am curfew
  • Compliance with any agency and/or court activities and requirements
  • Routine unit inspections
  • No guest inside unit (120 days)
  • No unauthorized overnight stays away from the facility

This program directly supports families by providing safe housing and fostering efforts toward sobriety, enhanced parenting skills, a solid work ethic, effective financial budgeting, realistic goal setting, and community involvement. All of these skills are essential to self-sufficiency.
