Sutherlin St. Vincent de Paul

Serving God and Community in Douglas County

Our Mission

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers hope and essential support to those facing hunger, homelessness, and hardship. Through clothing, shelter, and vital resources, we help restore dignity and stability.

Inspired by Gospel values, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul lead men and women to join together to grow spiritually by offering "person-to-person" service to those in need. Our members come from every cultural background and economic level, each being drawn by a spirit of service towards others.

Organized locally we witness God's love by embracing all works of charity and justice. We collaborate with other people and agencies of good will in relieving need and addressing its causes, making no distinction in those served.

Timely House

Douglas County

Family Shelter Project

Right now, Sutherlin St. Vincent de Paul operates Timely House, a 10-month family shelter program providing emergency housing to families with children who are experiencing homelessness or unsafe living conditions. Our pilot program , one small home, shelters one family. Many families are left waiting.

Together, we can turn waiting lists into welcome mats and make sure every child has a safe place to sleep.

The Project Expansion at 151 Pear Lane in Sutherlin will accommodate up to 12 families, offering not only safe shelter but also structured services. such as; parenting classes, job skills and budgeting support. These resources will help families build stability, retore hope and create a path toward a brighter future.
